Financial clarity for young working adults in Singapore

Your 20s should build your options — not limit them.

I help young working adults turn scattered financial advice into one strategy that fits their life — so you have more money and time to focus on what matters most in your life.

A short, no-pressure conversation about where you are, what deserves attention first, and whether I can genuinely help. Life first. Strategy second. Products only when relevant.

Chua Meng Yong, Financial Consultant at Finexis Advisory, Singapore

Why it matters now

Everything costs more. The future feels less certain.

Rent, groceries, insurance — prices have climbed faster than most paychecks. It's easy to feel like you're working harder just to stay in place, and even easier to keep putting off dealing with money altogether.

I help young working adults turn scattered financial advice into one strategy that fits their life — so you have more money and time to focus on what matters most, even when the world outside feels less predictable.

Sounds familiar?

You're working hard. But does your financial life feel this clear?

Too much information

You've read plenty of advice, but you're still not sure what applies to you.

No plan tying it together

You might already be saving, insured or investing — but unsure if it all works together.

Torn between today and tomorrow

You want to enjoy your 20s, but worry spending now sets your future back.

Why I do this

I'm not here because I made every decision perfectly.

Right after National Service, I turned down my university place and went straight into financial advisory instead. I wanted a career where I could serve people and genuinely impact lives.

Since then, I've met plenty of hardworking young adults who want to do well but feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice. They're not short on effort or ambition. They're short on a clear way to decide what fits their life.

Today, I help clients cut through the noise, turn scattered information into a strategy that works for them, and make decisions that let them enjoy today while building towards more tomorrow.

Before meeting Meng Yong, I had an adviser previously and had some policies that my parents got for me, but I still felt the lack of clarity in my planning and wasn't sure my portfolio was suitable for me. That changed completely after just a few sessions with him — he offered perspectives no other adviser had and helped me achieve my goals earlier.

After meeting Meng Yong, he gave me peace of mind, and I felt empowered in my planning rather than confused. I've since referred him 9 of my friends, including my parents. If you're feeling unsure about your financial direction, having a chat with him will be one of the best decisions you'll ever make.

Who this is for

This is for you if…

  • You're earning steadily but not sure your money is working as hard as you are
  • You already have insurance or investments, but you're not sure they fit together
  • You want to enjoy your lifestyle today without feeling guilty about it
  • You're open to a second opinion, even if you already have an adviser
  • You want a plan built around your life, not a generic template

This is not for you if…

  • You're looking for a single product, not an actual strategy
  • You expect guaranteed investment returns
  • You're not open to an honest conversation about your finances
  • You want someone to just tell you what to buy, without understanding why

Questions

You're probably wondering…

What happens during the first session?

We talk through your current situation, what’s on your mind, and what you want your money to make possible. I’ll explain where I might be able to help. No obligation to proceed.

What should I prepare?

Nothing formal. A rough idea of your income, expenses, savings, insurance and investments helps, but we can work through the details together.

Will I be expected to buy something?

No. If there’s genuinely no room to improve on what you already have, I’ll say so plainly, and that’s where it ends.

Can you review plans I already have?

Yes. I can help you understand what you currently hold, whether it still suits your goals, and where there may be gaps, overlaps or costs you don’t need.

I only recently started working — is it too early?

It’s a good time, actually. Starting before your income grows helps you build the right habits and skip some avoidable, costly mistakes.

Do I need a high income to work with you?

No. This is about using what you currently have well, not how much you earn.

What if we’re not the right fit?

Then I’ll tell you, and there’s no pressure either way. Most of my clients came from a first conversation with no strings attached.

I already have an adviser. Why speak with you?

Most of my clients did too. A second perspective often surfaces a few things worth revisiting — and many clients find they can move their timeline forward by 5 to 10 years. The decision is always yours.

You don't need your whole life planned out in your 20s.

You just need decisions today that don't limit what's still possible tomorrow.

Book a complimentary coffee chat. No sales pitch, no jargon — just a straightforward conversation from someone who's in your shoes and understands what it takes to finally get this right.
